What is the Storm?
One of the most interesting things to come from Allen West’s election to the office of Supreme Leader of the Republican Party of Texas has been LTC West’s introduction of the concept of “the storm.” This comes at the same time the Chairman has called for a new “movement” for right wing politics in Texas.
The observations on the need for a new movement and the formulation of new political concepts are both astute and obvious. Promising limited government and delivering the biggest government in world history is just about the most detestable trick ever played on a voting constituency, and the usefulness of this trick has long past expired.
So we have this new phrase, “we are the storm” popping up everywhere.
Where does it originate and what does it mean?
The origin of the “we are the storm” originates from this anonymous quote. I heard LTC West quote this meme in its entirety, only difference being he said “soldier” instead of warrior.
So what is the meaning or significance of this? What are Allen West and his Stormers all about?
You see, the storm is symbolic of an act of God-like power. A storm is neither inherently positive or negative, but it does exert force onto the face of the Earth. The forces brought about by storms can utterly destroy entire towns in one sweeping action, or through a steady persistence they can carve beautiful, natural wonders into solid rock.
Storms have tremendous power to exert their force onto things which are upon the Earth. They are also used as symbols in the scriptures to represent times of personal or societal tumult and as analogies for the trials and tribulations one experiences in life.
Like a weather phenomenon, a personal trial or societal upheaval is neither positive or negative by itself. How people respond to these trials determines whether they are good or bad.
The chaos brought by the trials of life are sometimes caused by the actions of others. Often these ill-effects brought about by other people are exacerbated or otherwise encouraged by the Fallen One himself.
We find ourself in quite the storm (turmoil) in The Current Year ™.
Unlike nature, however, free men are not objects to be acted upon, but are themselves objects exerting force through action. While you will not be able to stop storms from beating upon you, you do have the power to overcome them.
Men who are not free are much like the paper sailboats that children make.
These men, existing in a state of bondage, are much like these paper boats, existing in an environment where external forces have total control over their direction and fate.
Men who exist in this state have fallen into bondage and possess various degrees of culpability for their own predicament.
“Men are more easily governed through their vices than through their virtues,” Napoleon Bonaparte said. We must free ourselves from as many vices as possible and always strive to eliminate more. This is because vices erode our ability to act as free agents, leading us instead to be agents to be acted upon by external stimuli, vulnerable to the storms that inevitably come to blow us further off course.
Conservatism and Libertarianism is Gay and Stupid
I’m not even sure what conservatism is supposed to mean, but I can tell you it doesn’t seem to be working.
Conservatism in the current year is associated with a morally bankrupt philosophy for cowards or idealists. It seems as though many want to pause the world as it was in 1990 or 1980, or any other abirtrary time period in American history. Experience proves this thinking simply does not work.
Libertarianism has been a scourage since it’s introduction into the American right in the middle of the 20th century. It’s a foreign ideology that wraps itself in the banner of American revolutionary language. Today, it’s promoted by people who don’t know any better, and whom would gladly legalize all vices in the name of “freedoms” only to watch our people fall into total bondage because of their wickedness.
The goal of our movement must be securing freedom at any cost. There exists numerous institutional power structures which are currently being used to harm and oppress the American people. The collective will of the American people is currently dormant, waiting for a vision to be put forth to direct them.
Wherher the Republican Party will be our vehicle for these efforts beyond 2020 remains to be seen. Nevertheless, it’s up to us, and you individually to act as the storm, lighting the brush fires in the minds of men and gaining supporters to the cause.
Winning others over does not need to happen overnight, but over the course of a year or two with most people. We are the storm that will bring about a mighty change, first gradually, then suddenly.
A few key points to remember:
Not taking action is worse than taking imperfect action
Take up space in the real world in order to take up space in the minds of the people
Do not worry about seeming ridiculous to those who lack the ability to understand the broader vision
Give yourself unfair advantages in idealogical conflicts, fair fights are a myth
Never get discouraged if a particular outcome seems impossible, we have options 👇🏻
