Texas GOP Site Hacked by Literal Devil Worshipers & Other Thoughts
So a thing happened on Saturday.
The Republican Party of Texas’s official website appeared to be hacked by Anonymous on Saturday morning. The website was later taken down.
After Texas’ restrictive abortion law went into effect on Sept. 1, Anonymous launched Operation Jane, an initiative targeting anyone attempting to enforce the law. The group followed through on its mission by hacking the Texas GOP website.
The homepage on texasgop.org showed “ANONYMOUS IS LEGION.” Under it, “Texas: Taking Voices from Women to promote theocratic erosion of church/state barriers.” The website was complete with a donation link to Planned Parenthood.
Throughout human history, men and women have looked for signs from God to help them with dilemmas both big and small.
While this hack is not “from God” per se, these hackers nonetheless delivered a clear sign to believers in Jesus Christ about the nature of the opposition we face.
A few things I noted:
They call themselves demons
They call themselves “Legion”
Takes the Lord’s name in vain
Cartoon character has his head facing backwards
Blasphemous and vulgar
Is this not a sign? It can’t possibly be any more explicit.
There were other things that I don’t understand the significance of, like using the Pokémon character I’ve never heard of. It could be just random inside jokes and not significant in any way.
I have no knowledge or evidence of anything specific, but I would advise the Texas GOP to look deeply into this attack because my gut tells me this may have been a larger incident than just their website getting changed.
We have edited out a disgusting photo of some kind of homosexual playing with his butt that the hackers put on the site as well.
Interestingly the “demons,” as they call themselves, are also promoting homosexuality — just like the Texas Young Republicans have been doing lately.
Just sayin’.
These hackers also called themselves “Legion,” possibly alluding to an event described by Matthew and Luke in the Bible of Jesus Christ confronting a demon that went by the same name.
Luke 8
29 (For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
30 And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him.
Jesus Christ commanding evil spirits out of a man into a herd of pigs is a real event that actually happened. Despite the cute Pokémon put up as an avatar, this stuff isn’t a game.
It’s important to remember in this context that these “hackers” and not pure evil themselves. Most likely they are simply come under Satan’s power and he is able to control them through their transgressions. It doesn’t mean they are bad people, it means they have fallen for a trap and have become ensnared in the thorns of their own choices.
Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but judging what messages they chose to include in their stunt, it’s very likely these people have big personal problems.
Earlier in Luke 8, Christ helps us understand how these people got to a point in their life where someone’s life can get so derailed through a parable.
4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Christ then explains the meaning of the parable and how it teaches a bit about the nature of man, how Satan works, how the gospel works, how to discern good from evil, and illustrates for us why we must as Christians involve ourselves with the political affairs of the world.
10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.
12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away.
14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
Our objective as citizens and parents should be to prepare good soil for future generations so that they may have the best chance of bringing forth good fruit unto their own salvation.
We are staring a dark spirit right in the face, summoned by our attempt to curtail the satanic child sacrifice ritual called abortion, something forced upon our State by the federal government. However we, having eyes to see and ears to hear, can rejoice in knowing that we have in fact received a sign through God’s mercy, and for that we can express our gratitude.
Signs are given to men not because they asked nicely or because they wanted it. Signs from God come by faith.
We have received this warning of the dangers that await us in the near future because of the faith of anti-abortion advocates across Texas. The nature of our opposition is no longer up for debate because it has announced itself. And while faith comes first, another perquisite to receiving signs from God is to act on your faith.
Texas Christians and abolitionists diligently acted upon their faith by working so hard to fight against abortion with the hope it will someday be abolished in our land. Through their faith and diligence we have set in motion a chain of events, and we don’t know where this thing is going to go, but it may very well get bad, and we must remember where to keep our faith pointed.
The #1 thing we should all do right now is pray for the people who hacked the Texas GOP website. Forgive them if you felt offended, ask God to help them and to soften their hearts.
The federal government under no circumstance will allow Texas to ban abortion or let this Heartbeat Law stand. Satan controls the District of Columbia, and there is nothing any of us can do about that. That is just going to have to run its course.
Anyone who wants to abolish abortion should have one foot pointed towards the Texas Independence, preparing for when God gives us an opportunity to make manifest our righteous desires of nurturing good ground for our posterity.
The other #1 thing you need to do is please repent, and prepare yourself for what lies ahead.
God wants to help us fight our battles.
If the opposition is too strong, God will fight our battles for us if we have faith.
