EXPOSED: Massive Voter Suppression in Texas

Current Revolt is known for its hard-hitting, accurate analysis on all things Texas politics. In this special report, we have uncovered egregious voter suppression by the Republican Party of Texas that we are compelled to expose.

Based on our own proprietary polling, we had Joe Biden getting a 49 point victory over Donald Trump. Our methodology for the polling was as follows: Out in public places, our CR canvasser would run up to people on the street, get right in their face and yell at them, asking straight up, “HEY ARE YOU VOTING FOR DONALD TRUMP YES OR NO!?!?”

The overwhelming majority of people said “no.” We believe a question under duress is the most accurate of any polling technique devised.

Because of this, we were greatly surprised at Donald Trump’s victory in Texas. However, throughout the election, Current Revolt had reporters on the ground in all 254 Texas counties, and we’re going to share with our dear readers the truth about how the Republicans pulled off this great upset.

It’s been alleged for years that Republicans engage in systematic voter suppression. Never before has such damning evidence been compiled into one place.

For example, here’s a voting location in a Democrat neighborhood in Baytown, TX that has been blocked by a 9 foot wall of sand.

The man who perpetrated this heinous act of hate is a known Trump supporter. He even made his machine look like President Trump before carrying out the act.

Next, we look at a tactic that is truly detestable.

In this photo from Abilene, TX, a group known as “Teenage Republicans” stand guard at a polling location brandishing weapons to intimidate women and minorities.

That wasn’t the only tactic used to threaten violence outside of polling stations. Republicans also put attack dogs outside the polls who were trained to attack Democrats based on stereotyping and discrimination.

Greg Abbott was also personally involved in election suppression, visiting polling stations in Democrat-heavy areas and unilaterally declaring all polling booths to be “wheelchair only” booths.

You may have heard that Trump did better with hispanics in South Texas. Well, the reason for this is clear — voter suppression.

Here’s a polling station outside of Marfa, TX.

These are not our values

These are not our values

Granting the right to vote to every single person in America is our single greatest achievement. It’s believed by experts that the founding fathers were simply not smart enough to think of such a brilliant idea like “just let everyone vote.”

James Madison said, without evidence, that there could possibly be downsides to letting everyone vote.

The right of suffrage is a fundamental Article in Republican Constitutions. The regulation of it is, at the same time, a task of peculiar delicacy. Allow the right [to vote] exclusively to property [owners], and the rights of persons may be oppressed... . Extend it equally to all, and the rights of property [owners] ...may be overruled by a majority without property....

In 2020, Americans are smart enough to understand that letting every single person vote, no matter how many drugs they are on, no matter how stupid, uninformed, or unproductive, leads to the best possible outcomes for governmental policy.

If you slept in until 1pm today, you should vote so your voice can be heard on US monetary policy.

If you smoked a bowl before reading this article, you should vote so you have a say in US foreign policy.

It’s a proven fact that the universal franchise always leads to the best government.  Without this egregious, systematic suppression of voters, Joe Biden would have won Texas handily.
