The Thing that keeps Greg Abbott Awake at Night

In the conventional calculation, Don Huffines is an underdog in his bid to best sitting Governor Greg Abbott in a primary challenge. But this isn’t a conventional Republican primary.

This is a sitting Republican Governor who just led a house and senate of Republicans who rode in on the coattails of the MAGA train to get nothing of substance done except an abortion bill that will be canceled by a court and a to-go victory for daiquiri drinkers.

GOP voters are drinking the bitter brew left in their to-go cups and wondering how this happened. To say that Texas voters are mad that this convention of corruption, known as the Eighty-seventh Texas Legislature, didn’t give them the right to carry the arms, already bestowed upon them by the founders of their democracy, or take any action to curb chemical castration of children, is an understatement. The voters were not scared by the threats of corporations against voters, but the donor-dependent politician were. The GOP faithful are losing their faith and are in a state of indignation.

The people like what Don “the Mighty Oak” Huffines is selling. Huffines sat by James Younger as he described the subject of his son and Greg Abbott’s promises and failures with respect to intervention. Huffines vowed to end these barbaric practices. We fully endorse that sentiment.

But while Huffines is gathering endorsements from some of our favorites like the True Texas Project, we here at Current Revolt are not yet ready to throw our support behind any candidate. We are looking for a gubernatorial candidate who will do the will of the people and use his office to champion the people.

As Jim Conbee discussed, rather than arresting those who destroyed order, Plano police recently arrested the only patriot who was not too scared to rise from his truck and attempt to dispel the BLM scum infesting his roadway.

As Jim Conbee noted, it is within Governor Abbott’s power to grant a pardon to that big man who is a hero to us all. But, ever-sitting, never-standing, Governor Abbot, has chosen to sit and do nothing in support of this patriot. Our question is this:

Will Don Huffines declare his intention to grant a pardon to the big man of Plano? Will he back law and order all over Texas? If we determine that he will, unashamedly and forever back law and order, we will be hard pressed not to support him
