How Texas Should Respond to Biden’s Vaxx Mandates
In response to Joe Biden announcing a fatwa on the unvaxxed, Greg Abbott is predictably beating his chest, claiming he will do something to halt Biden’s power-grab.
I’m extremely bored with the whole virus thing, so while I could go for nuclear war with China, I’m willing to settle for a Texas Governor effectively resisting Federal tyranny.
Just imagine, he could set up headquarters at the Alamo and lead the resistance!
However, this is Abbott we’re talking about, so most likely he will sue under one pretext or another. This is what other cowardly and limp-wristed GOP governors seem to be planning to do.
This is not good enough because:
The lawsuit will probably fail. Then Abbott will be like: Awww Shucks! We really tried! Vote for me next time!
Even if the lawsuit succeeds, relief will come too late. Federal employees will be fired in 75 days, and private-sector workers sooner than that. Any successful court decision will take longer than that. Biden knows his tyrannical order may be ruled unconstitutional, but knows that by then it will be a done deal. That’s what he did with his unconstitutional eviction moratorium.
The Democrats’ ultimate goal is to set up a “social credit” system to be used against conservatives and other dissidents. In the future, if you oppose the Democrats, you will be denied a job, denied a bank account, denied plane travel, and denied entry to grocery stores. They will simply label conservatives as “terrorists” and weaponize the virus control infrastructure against their opposition.
If this is not stopped, then they will require booster shots every six months. They will then require that workers take a daily prophylactic pill. Then they will require flu shots, and 100 other vaccines. And finally, they will move to their endgame of weaponizing the system of tyrannical control against their political opposition.
This is the most serious and vicious assault on the rights of workers in American history. It must be stopped. And at Current Revolt, we will show the Texas GOP how to stop this.
Here is how Texas can unilaterally and immediately cancel the Biden mandate by passing appropriate legislation:
Employers over 100 employees, or government entities, that fire employees or contractors for not getting vaccinated will be compelled to pay the salary and benefits of the terminated employees or contractors until they get another job (with no expiration date).
Once the employee or contractor gets another job, if it pays less than the previous job, the ex-employers will have to pay the difference in pay and benefits.
The tax component will have a fallback clause, in case the tax is overturned due to the supremacy clause: there will be a tax on Democrat-supporting mega-corporations in case it is overturned, which would be framed as assisting the victims of Biden’s fatwa.
Due to the supremacy clause, there must be an extra measure to help terminated Federal employees and contractors. There will be a surcharge imposed on corporations with over $1 billion (or any threshold set to mostly target blue state mega-corporations like Amazon) in revenue that terminated employees. The surcharge will be scaled such that it will make terminated Federal employees and contractors whole.
This will work because the cost of paying perpetual unemployment benefits will be much greater than Biden’s OSHA fine. And no matter what Biden does to up the ante, the employees will have been made whole. Even if Biden were to increase the fines into the stratosphere, all that would accomplish would be to push all workers into unemployment, which would be funded by the businesses that implemented the terminations. In a worst case scenario, out-of-state Democrat mega-corporations, like Amazon, could be forced to foot the bill, should there be insufficient revenue from other businesses (take notes TxLege, if you are serious). This must be implemented NOW, not in a week or a month. NOW!
Your move, fake-President!
What are you gonna do, PHELAN?
At Current Revolt, we have demonstrated how the Texas GOP, which controls the governorship and the legislature, could immediately cancel out Biden’s fatwa. The question is: Will the Texas GOP do this and set the example of real resistance for other state Republican parties? If they do not, they will prove themselves useless. And it will be an opportunity to primary these Texas traitors. Are you listening, West and Huffines?
