TX GOP Condemns Outdoor Enthusiast Candidate for Governor over Knot Making Demo
Rusk City Councilman Martin Holsome, who is apparently running against annoying virus hoaxer Greg Abbott for Governor, posted an example of a common rope knot used by the Boy Scouts in their wacky outdoor adventures.
The knot is called the “hangman’s knot” named after the knot’s inventor, Phillip Hangman, a young Boy Scout who invented the knot while trying to figure out how to tie up a haul of delicious bass while fishing.
The reference “Starting in Washington DC” refers to the Boy Scout Chapter in Washington DC.
For some reason, there is a black girl in a Boy Scouts T-shirt on the homepage of the Boys Scouts of America DC chapter website.
Sources on Twitter speculate that Councilman Holsome’s tweet was likely related to a bass fishing trip where he would first head to DC to ask the BSA why there was a random black girl on the Boy Scout’s homepage.
Embarrassingly, the Republican Party of Texas has condemned this outdoor enthusiast for his involvement in causes to strengthen youth and promote health.
Austin, TX, Release: January 31, 2021 For Immediate Release
The Texas GOP condemns all talk of political violence, specifically comments made by gubernatorial candidate Martin Holsome.
Chairman Allen West has stated, “I personally find any depictions of a noose disgusting and despicable. Martin Holsome’s language is horrifying. Calling for lynching is mortifying to any decent American.”
Support for political violence will never have a home in the Texas GOP. We have consistently condemned the leftist violence that ravaged the nation last summer and again in early January. We have always been consistent in this principle.
Chairman West appears to be suffering from a vaccine-related brain injury. There was no horrifying language, and the post was 100% within the realm of free speech as it’s been understood in America and affirmed by the supreme Court.
Not exactly sure what is accomplished here by throwing people under the bus. The media will not give you any credit for this, West. There is no “high ground” to take with devil-worshiping liars. The only “high ground” is an imaginary one you created exclusively for yourself.
People used to joke that Donald Trump was playing “4D chess” when he was really just being outmaneuvered by his enemies. Allen West is now playing “moral high ground solitaire” against himself by condemning people you could just as easily ignore.
The best part was Bud Kennedy posted about it with a “censored” version of the stock photo rope.
Bud Kennedy censored a stock photo of a rope, but I can promise you the videos he’s going to be watching on his computer later tonight will be very uncensored.
