WHY? Assistant Texas Attorny General FIRED for Having Normal Opinions
Imagine you are an elected official and member of a political party. Now imagine firing a fellow member of your political party because it was revealed they hold the same views as everyone else in your party, and you did this because the other, rival political party told you to. This is essentially what Ken Paxton has done.
A Texas assistant attorney general sent dozens of tweets over the past several months threatening violence against progressives, spouting racist and transphobic rhetoric, casting doubt over the seriousness of the coronavirus pandemic and sharing QAnon conspiracy theories. On Thursday, he lost his job with the state agency after national media reported on his social media activities.
Nick Moutos, whose racist tweets were reported Thursday morning by Media Matters, threatened Black Lives Matter protesters and has regularly referred to the organizers as “terrorists.” He called Islam a “virus” and trans people an “abomination.”
“As of today, this individual no longer works for the Office of the Attorney General,” Kayleigh Date, spokesperson for the attorney general’s office, told The Texas Tribune.
Moutos acknowledged that he lost his job in a Thursday evening tweet, which also referenced coverage by Salon and Men’s Health of his comments downplaying the national coronavirus death totals.
Ken Paxton’s office is supposed to be safeguarding our rights as citizens of Texas and the United States. Grassroots activists have protested for months about the suspension of ours most basic rights over flu hysteria and media demands. Paxton, instead of listening to his voters, this little bundle of sticks is reading Media Matters complain about someone working for him, and saying what literally every Republican voter says amongst themselves. Within minutes, Paxton springs into action to add this fine patriot to the millions of other unemployed Texans that Paxton and Abbott’s administration are responsible for.
If Salon told you to kill yourself, would you do it, Ken?
Perhaps Ken Paxton thinks we do not have a memory. 3 weeks ago, this little bitch was denouncing “cancel culture.” And as I wrote in response at the time, you are the cancel culture , Ken.
At this rate, it won’t be long before Paxton’s face will be enough to get him canceled. Between that assault smirk and his permanent “hitting on you” wink, Salon will come for him soon.
This crap has to stop. You’d think a guy who can only keep one eye open would be able to focus on the target, which would be beating back the Marxist left. Apparently he’s just as big a coward as [insert literally any Republican]. That is, except for one.
Glorious Leader Allen West has said all these things and more and never apologized. Sure, he did get fired for calling out Jewish privilege at PJ Media, but Nick Moutos never did that.
