Anti-Gab R’s Celebrate Hoax “Social Media Censorship Ban”
In what can only be described as “rich” with many people saying “of course they did,” Covid King of Texas Greg Abbott signed a very fake bill into law that purports to “protect Texans from wrongful social media censorship.”
There was a cringe video and everything.
At some point, I think, some people involved in politics simply break spiritually. The contradictions and rationalizations people have to live with become so overwhelming they retreat and harden up.
To have the same people who voted for the Texas GOP to get off Gab to stand up there with a straight face and tell us they are some sort of free speech champions is simply too much.
Obviously, Abbott did the whole thing with the Israeli flag where he said Israel owns Texas and nobody is welcome in Texas if they criticize Israel.
Ok, that’s not exactly what he said, but that was the spirit the message. Can you imagine openly shilling for the interests of a foreign nation in America, saying nobody is allowed to criticize them? Then saying you’re a free speech champion?
Nobody has offered an explanation for why this is OK. If you ask, not only are you not given the respect of an answer, you’re said to be evil for asking.
For Cat Parks, Tom Nobis, Jan Duncan and the TRI Guys to vote to have the GOP to get off of Gab while also remaining on platforms like Facebook and Twitter that abuse and censor GOP voters is the equivalent of treason within the Party context.
Because here is the truth: Cat Parks, Tom Nobis and the rest of them don’t have to worry about censorship because they don’t have anything interesting to say. No need for the left to censor them, believe me!
I don’t feel like breaking down the entire bill and explaining why it’s a hoax. Perhaps we will talk more about that at some point. You can read it here.
But let’s just look at their definitions.
So is shadow banning Current Revolt to Texas readers by Facebook now illegal? It seems it is, and it happens regularly.
How do you "ensure equal access or visibility” when the whole hecking platform revolves around a secret algorithm that determines visibility? I imagine the facebook people look at this and laugh.
I am also curious about how they interpret content vs. viewpoint. Throughout the document, the only speech prohibited is speech that’s already illegal.
So…
Are we now able to post endless racial slurs and big tech is powerless to stop us?
Yeah, I doubt it.
Banning “viewpoint” discrimination leaves them open to censor and say that “they just needed to say it another way. That way is too hateful.”
There also appears to be a get rich quick scheme available if someone wants to take it.
Facebook Messenger is known for actually blocking people from sending URL’s from certain websites to friends in private messages. Which websites, you ask? Obviously the good ones!
It literally says you cannot send them when you try in Facebook Messenger.
So can you try to send a naughty wrongthink website to 1,000 friends in Texas for a $10 a pop payout at a later date?
IDK, I doubt it, because like everything else these people do — it’s a scam.
We’re all still going to be censored, worse and worse in fact.
It’s too much.
The number 1 most effective thing the Republican Party of Texas could do would be to pass a civil rights bill in Texas that banned employers from firing employees for their political statements and involvement outside of work hours as long as they weren’t trashing their employer directly. This would lead to an exponential increase in conservatives willing and able to speak out about what is happening in their country.
I hear from people all the time who agree with me, but they can’t speak up because they think they will get fired.
We all know someone like this.
They can be unleashed and be emboldened to step up to join the cause for liberty and restore order.
