Dallas DA Formally Accepts Charges against Alleged Murderer of Cash Gernon, Darriyn Brown
Today, July 26, the Dallas District Attorney’s office formally accepted charges against Darriyn Brown, whom they allege kidnapped and murdered 4-year-old Cash Gernon. The charges accepted involved crimes allegedly committed on two different occasions, they are:

From reading the DA’s website description, we understand that the move of accepting the charges means that the DA will now move forward with grand jury indictments.
We checked the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star Telegram to see what they had to say about the developments in this case, but mum’s the word over there. Those two respectable papers got out-scooped and out-covered by the London-based Daily Mail when the news of the murder broke. It’s kind of pathetic that you need to look to an English paper to find out what is going on in your own backyard. But, many stories run counter-narrative, and respectable local rags are loathe to cover them.
In the past month, the Dallas Morning News has not so much as mentioned the name “Cash Gernon,” but it has kept us up to date with the late breaking developments of the death of Emmett Till in 1955 in Mississippi.
Look for yourself, do a Google site search and limit your results to the past month. Emmett Till is always being murdered, Cash Gernon is being memory holed.
It’s not like there is nothing to cover about the murder of Cash Gernon. People have lots of questions. Developments like today’s acceptance of charges by the DA should be commented on. The DMN could even take a minute to look at the data reports and see if they can’t tell us about the allegedly stolen gun that was allegedly found at the residence of Darriynn Brown on the same day as the murder of Cash Gernon and whether anyone has been charged with crimes related to that. That fact is sitting there in the Dallas database, but no one seems interested in telling us about it. If there were drugs involved, we should know what those drugs were. Without this information, we are not an informed public.
We want to know how it was that Cash Gernon came to be kidnapped and murdered. Please keep pressuring the media to focus on this case. Do not let Cash Gernon be memory-holed.
