A&M Doesn't Deserve a Player Like This
I loved the game of football, but I turned it all off this year. We had an alleged health crisis, a real economic crisis, rioting in the streets, and an historically important election on our hands. In a sane world, turning on the tube to watch football might have offered an opportunity to detach and escape, at least between commercial breaks. But that was obviously not going to be the case, and so for the first time in my life, I have not watched a single pro or college game this year.
However, I got sucked back into it all when I saw a headline from the Star Telegram:
Texas A&M doesn’t deserve a player like Kellen Mond by Mac Engel.
I figured we had another Baylor situation on our hands and read on to see how many co-eds got raped by this Football American. Turns out Mond wasn't accused of rape, but rather over the summer he had led a BLM protest and had called for the downing of the statue of a local hero.
Most of the fans and supporters of A&M football are White and they don't like Mond's extremist positions. They criticized him for these positions and wanted him gone.
Per Mac Engel, now that the team is looking good and Mond is playing well, those fans owe him an apology. While that is the stupidest point a person could make, I do agree with Engel in the close of his column.
Engel writes:
For the Aggies who didn’t like what Mond did or said in the summer, be better, or deal with his middle finger.
He is absoultely right. White Americans are hated by those for whom they cheer. It is time to stop watching sports that are played by people who hate you, hate your heros, and everything you stand for. We can find other things to do and better things to bond over.
I know it's painful. Football was a big part of my life. Watching was not only enjoyable, but fandom provided the sense of belonging and was a way to bond with other people. But, think about what you are doing and what you are supporting. The whole thing has gotten out of control. Turn it off, and when your friends and family ask you what you thought about the game, tell them that A&M-or whoever your team is-deserved better. Invite them to go fishing or to watch something else. Don't be a doormat for Football Americans and their Marxist enablers; you deserve better.
