WARRANT ISSUED FOR COLLIN COUNTY DEMOCRAT FUNDRAISING CHAIR

Or we should say, as of yesterday, former Collin County Democrat Fundraising Committee chair…

John Stafford, Democrat Activist and current candidate for Collin County Commissioner, has been indicted for charges related to the most recent Plano city council election.

Warrant info for John Stafford

Former Plano City Council Candidate, Justin Adcock, was the first to report that John M Stafford was indicted on charges of TRUE SOURCE OF ELECTION COMMUNICATION, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The statute reads as follows:

Sec. 255.005. MISREPRESENTATION OF IDENTITY. (a) A person commits an offense if, with intent to injure a candidate or influence the result of an election, the person misrepresents the person's identity or, if acting or purporting to act as an agent, misrepresents the identity of the agent's principal, in political advertising or a campaign communication.(b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor.

Stafford’s Facebook profile pic, quite frankly, says everything you need to know about him

The charges stem from a text message campaign, led by Stafford, in the last Plano City Council election. The text campaign consisted of sending over 43,000 text messages to likely-Democrat Plano citizens, sometimes after 9pm, that seemed to grossly misrepresent several candidate’s identity and campaigns. The objective of the campaign was to anger likely-Democrat voters into showing up to vote. Below are several screenshots of the text messages that Stafford and his team sent out, and the reactions that it caused:

Adcock breaks down a conversation he had with the lead investigator on the case against Stafford as follows:

• Approximately 43,000 texts were sent over 23 hours targeting Democrat voters in Plano.

• The account the texts came from was named "Grassroots Strong" which isn't a registered PAC or group representing the sender as an organization that doesn't exist. "Grassroots Strong" is also the slogan for the Collin County Republican Party meaning the sender was intentionally trying to mislead the public or anyone investigating the source of the texts.

• The PPD has 6,000 pages of sent texts as well as replies to them showing nearly a unanimous negative response.

• The class A misdemeanor is subject to a maximum of 1 year in jail and $4,000 fine (or both) for each occurrence.

• The texts were sent through Scale To Win, LLC – a texting service catering to Democrat candidates.

• To send each text someone has to hit the spacebar on the computer meaning the person or persons were intentionally sending the texts after 9 pm in violation of federal law.

• Approximately 21,000 texts were sent after 9 pm. The FCC states that if an unsolicited text is sent after 9 pm the sender is subject to a $500 fine. If the text was intentional, that fine is $1,500 per text meaning the sender/s could be subject to over $31 million in penalties.

The Plano election wasn’t the only one that Stafford had his Democrat hands in:

John M Stafford’s Linkedin shows heavy involvement in multiple campaigns in Plano

Sources say Stafford was also the brains behind a mailer campaign that went out during Frisco’s recent city council election:

Mailer sent out by Democrat operative, John Stafford in support of Democrat Angelia Pelham for Frisco City Council.

Angelia Pelham was the Democrat, leftist, and Establishment GOP choice for city council. Despite having a Conservative Republican on the ballot, several low-IQ Republican elected officials also supported Pelham, along with several very low-IQ Republican grassroots organization leaders. It’s all quite interesting, considering that Pelham is an open Biden voter and Democrat:

We reached out to John Stafford for comment and he offered the following statements:

  • Stafford claims text messages do not require a disclaimer as to who is sending them.

  • Stafford says the charges against him were orchestrated by Plano Citizens Coalition.

    • Stafford claims this is because he is “the only Democrat that can win in Collin County.” (This is factually untrue seeing as Democrat Julie Holmer won a recent city council election as did Democrat Angelia Pelham in the above video.)

  • When asked about his take on Justin Adcock releasing this information, Stafford stated that Adcock is a failed candidate and “sore loser.”

We reached out to the Vice President of Plano Citizens’ Coalition, Matt Dixon, for comment:

“PCC was unaware of the charges and case against Stafford until last Thursday, the 17th, when the Plano Star Courier reached out to us for comment.”

This all goes to show that Democrats play to win, even if that means engaging in shady and sometimes illegal tactics.

Things don’t look too great for Stafford and he’s likely the first human domino to fall in a line of human dominoes connected to the texting campaign scheme.
