TRI Putsch! Attempted Coup of Leader West and GOP Grassroots Right Fails!

The Texas Republican Initiative (TRI) is a group of disheveled men and one attractive woman with a mission statement to spin Republican inaction and fecklessness as wins for conservatism.

We covered the TRI launch in a highly accurate and big-brained piece in early April. Since their initial announcement, the group has been somewhat quiet. That all changed today when they went for absolute broke.

Texas Scorecard:

Behind closed doors, some lawmakers are working to rush through legislation to change how the Republican Party of Texas operates.

When filed, House Bill 1987 was an attempt to require that if an individual is an officer of a political party and they ran for public office they would automatically resign their position.

Some have speculated the bill was filed as a move against current Texas GOP Chairman Allen West, who has been rumored to be considering a run for statewide office in 2022.

I personally don’t think this power move has anything to do with Allen West, but this narrative serves as effective cover for a much more sinister agenda. This agenda is threatened by a growing, decentralized movement of right wing groups in Texas starting to sow discontent with the declining state of affairs under virus martial law and economic calamity.

This TRI-backed push to seize control of the GOP has more to do with people seeking power frothing at the mouth, trying to finagle their way into the ruling class and rule over a people who have completely surrendered all of their most basic rights under the guise of a fake pandemic.

The allure is enough to make even a woman with 3 names go on a power trip.

Despite the access TRI has to lawmakers, there’s been a problem advancing their unpopular agenda this legislative session — these lawmakers have a lot of eyes on them. In response they’ve been forced to get creative.

Essentially, this new bill would have made the Texas GOP Chairman and every SREC member subject to a primary election as opposed to the current system where delegates elect these positions at conventions.

It’s a terrible idea, and I’ll explain why in a bit.

Who was behind this bill you ask?

Surprise!

Some were even naming them.

Some didn’t name them, but made claims there is “dark money” in the SREC races.

Who is it then, Summer?

Every seasoned political writer at CR knows it’s never as effective without naming them. Just name them!

CR will name them

CR will name them

Apparently the effort failed and the language was stripped from the bill, or it was killed entirely. I’m not really sure as of this moment. It just goes to show you what they’re planning to do to us really is that bad, and they feel they need to wrestle control away from the most politically informed people in the state.

Supposedly Taylor and Burrows led the Screw Job

“Democracy” or the democratic process in America more broadly, means the media controls your electoral process. These people are concerned that we are becoming organized and our ideas are more popular because we are right. Therefore, they need to redistribute power back to the uninformed masses who are easily tricked by media manipulation.

The Republican Party establishment relies on the media’s power to destroy anyone who dares to oppose the globalist agenda. This is a large component of the illusion of the two party system. Texas Republicans who hold state office simply enjoy the status of being in government, and the fact that they are constantly losing battles for their voters is merely an inconvenience they have to deal with. Losing ideological and legislative battles is what keeps them in power, because losing keeps them in good graces with the real puppet masters.

And for the record, we don’t take dark money.

I’ll take this opportunity to remind our readers that our site offers anonymous comments, something very few sites allow.

Yes, they are moderated. We simply can’t allow anyone to post anything. But as long as they aren’t unhinged attack on us lacking substance, it will be approved.

What do you think about the structure of the Texas GOP currently? I wrote about my ideas to restructure the party which involved making almost every position but the State Chair and Precinct Chairs into appointed positions.

We need to do something, because what we are doing clearly isn’t working.
