Screw Job Session: Joke’s on You!
As soon as Dade Phelan was annointed as the next Speaker of the House via secret meetings and backroom deals, the fate of the 87th Legislature Regular Session was sealed.
Eveyone understood none of the Republican priorities were going anywhere under Phelan, and yet all but 2 Republicans voted for him to be the Speaker.
These politicians said they would do what they promised and represent the Republicans who voted for them by passing priority Republican legislation.
What are they doing instead?
Drunk driving
Doing date rape drug hoaxes
Having affairs left and right
When the Democrats point to these incidents and tease that we are the “party of family values” it’s these elected officials who are turning WE, their voters, into jokes.
These Reps are ruining our reputations by nature of us being affiliated with such a disaster of a party.
After all this, they are still laughing at us, as if this is all a big joke.
We need a total consolidation and cleansing of the party. We cannot have rampant cowardice and immorality any longer. The stakes are too high.
How can we expect to receive the help we need from God when our leaders are behaving this way?
Several changes need to made immediately including increasing the pay for State Representatives and Senators so we can get higher quality candidates to run. We need to have a salary for these positions that is high enough so that blue collar workers who do honest work can run for office without losing all of their income.
Currently, the only people who can afford the measly pay of these elected positions are people who don’t actually do work and instead have perfected various scams and grifts. You have the occasional hardware store owner, but most of them are simply scam artists, which is why the GOP voters get scammed every year.
