Abbott Promotes Virus Urban Legend on Twitter
On Monday, Greg Abbott gave a fourth hand account of events that led to the death of an unknown man on an unknown date at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Apparently he can get away with anything at this point.
San Antonio Express News:
Dr. Jane Appleby, chief medical officer at Methodist, said a patient who died there told a nurse of contracting the virus at a party hosted by an infected person. The patient had viewed attending the party as a test, to see if the virus was real.
Appleby said the patient told the nurse, “I think I made a mistake. I thought this was a hoax, but it’s not.”
We are now discovering new dimensions of hoax where our public officials, desperate for stories of someone other than 80 year olds dying, are concocting unbelievable tall tales to try and keep people on edge.
Here is some information on the virus that we have known for months.
The median age of death is 78
Half of all deaths have been in nursing homes
90% of those hospitalized had underlying medical conditions – heart, diabetes
Young adults usually have no symptoms or mild symptoms
These facts were given by President Trump at a recent press conference. In a sane world, that would be the end of universal lockdowns for children, etc. But this entire exercise is not about the virus itself and hasn’t been for some time. Is there an endgame here, or can this all be blamed on mass hysteria perpetuated by the corporate media? I lean towards the former.
I don’t know where this is going, but unless we resist now, it’s not going to be good.
Hold on to your butts.
