Democrat Caught Bankrolling Abbott, Surprising No One
In the latest act of cringe, it appears Abbott the Boneless has at least one Democrat donating to his campaign. According to a Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) report, Carlos Zaffirini, the husband of Senator Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo) was caught donating $50,000 to “Texans for Greg Abbott.”
Considering his wife’s close ties in Texas politics, anyone with half-functioning critical thinking can conclude Sen. Zaffirini was likely funneling money via her husband.
For those wondering why a Democrat would funnel thousands of dollars to a self-proclaimed “Republican,” the explanation is two-fold.
Firstly, Texas is technically still a red state, and Democrats (until recently) are used to never winning statewide offices, resulting in large numbers of Democrats voting in Republican primaries (explains a lot); Texas sadly has open primaries.
Secondly, Democrats like the idea of having a weak Republican leader, especially going into the 2022 midterms. If Abbott wins the coming GOP primary, it’s a win-win for the Left. The GOP base is less likely to turn out for traitors like Abbott who do nothing but screw them, so a Democrat is more likely to win (especially with legalized ballot stuffing via mail-in). However, if he does survive the 2022 midterms, Abbott will go back to business as usual: placating the Left, leaving the border open, allowing child genital mutilation, and generally carrying on with screw jobs.
