LOL: Top School Official Rage Quits During an Economic Collapse
For as much planning ahead as her job description entails, I don’t think she thought this one through.
Nicole Conley, the Austin school district’s second-in-command and an influential player at the Capitol on school finance issues, is resigning after being passed over for the superintendent job.
Conley, the district’s chief business and operations officer, who often amplified Austin’s and other school districts’ voices at the Legislature, lobbied the state to better fund public education.
Saying she amplified “Austin and other districts’ voices” in the legislature means she would show up and threaten lawmakers at meetings that her demands had to be met or face the wrath of the organized crime syndicate that is most school administrations. Like a squid they use their long tentacles of direct access to parents and often other city government resources to solidify their power and protect against outsiders challenging their leftists fiefdoms.
Conley gave the district notice of her resignation Thursday. She said it probably will take effect Aug. 31, and that she will take accrued leave before then. Conley said she doesn’t have immediate plans but is considering several options.
Imagine quitting a high paying job at a time when the economic collapse is so immense that the government is literally shoving money directly into every single American’s bank accounts as fast as they can create the money.
Conley, who has been courted by other districts, had applied for the post, but trustees didn’t grant her an interview. School board members said they were searching for someone with a strong academic background and expertise in academic policy, preferably with teaching and campus administration experience as well as experience using disaggregated data, among other qualifications. Conley has years of experience as a top administrator in school districts but does not have a teaching or campus background.
Sounds fishy to me. Why would they want someone with any teaching or campus experience to be in charge of all the teachers and campuses? Simple. Hatred for the color of her skin.
Her salary was listed at $175k/year
During Conley’s tenure, the school district passed the largest bond package in Central Texas history, a $1.1 billion plan voters approved in 2017 aimed at modernizing the district’s aging campuses.
This woman was the genius architect of a record breaking debt scheme. Will all that money lead to an increase in literacy within the district? Well, that’s a question you’re not supposed to ask, bigot. What are you, some kind of racist?
